Su Kaligrafisi Atölye Çalışması
Water Calligraphy – workshop
The workshop is meant to apply antique Roman calligraphy into big scale outdoor practices through water calligraphy. The participants are to be expected to possess basic knowledge of typographic anatomy and stroke handling. The structure of Trajan typeface is chosen in order to maintain a baseline for the workshop applications. The use of water instead of ink or paint allows the participants to use the writing surface, in this case the outdoor floor, for several times. As the water evaporates and dries, the written type is meant to disappear and invite participants to further calligraphy applications and developing their skills. The workshop in general invites participants to use different writing tools like variant sizes of brushes and to work in a big group. Also the unlimited surface of the writing space provides big scale calligraphic practices.
